Cover for drivers and trailers

It doesn’t matter who’s driving, because we can help anyone driving your business vehicle who needs help getting back on the road. If you’re towing a vehicle, we’ll help with that too, as long as it’s under 3.5 tonnes GLW.

Three call outs a year

You’ll get three call outs a year (from the day you insured the vehicle, or your renewal date). *Additional call outs cost $50 per rescue, up to your annual renewal date.

AMI Roadside Rescue covers you for:

  • Flat battery – jump-start

  • Changing a flat tyre

  • Towing – for mechanical or electrical failure (not exceeding 3,500kg GLW)

  • Towed vehicles, like trailers (not exceeding 3,500kg GLW)

  • Free fuel delivered up to 5 litres (petrol or diesel)

  • Locked out – keys inside the vehicle

  • EV towing – to the nearest charging station (not exceeding 3,500kg GLW)

  • Contact your work, family or friends and arrange a taxi or transport (taxi fares and non-towing transport at your cost)

  • If you breakdown over 100km away from your home or business, we will cover:

  • Replacement hire car (3 days, up to $120 per day)

  • Emergency accommodation (3 nights, up to $120 per day†)

    † The most we will pay is up to $120 per day each towards the costs of hiring a car and emergency accommodation. For up to 3 days or until the insured vehicle is repaired, whichever is the earlier.

How can AMI Roadside Rescue help my business?

  • AMI Roadside Rescue is an optional cover available to Business customers with a Business Vehicle policy.
  • It applies to the vehicle, not the driver, so anyone driving can get help if they’ve run out of petrol/diesel/EV charge, have a flat battery, broken down, been locked out or need to change a tyre. AMI Roadside Rescue applies to vehicles that are 3.5 tonnes GLW or less only.
  • If the AMI Roadside Rescue team is unable to get your business vehicle back on the road, they’ll organise a tow truck to transport it to the nearest safe place or repairer. They’ll even transport your towed vehicle if it’s under 3.5 tonnes GLW.
  • From only $69 a year for three call-outs, add AMI Roadside Rescue to your policy and get help 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If you’d like to add it to your policy simply fill out this online form, or message us on Facebook.

^AMI Roadside Rescue for Business Vehicles is only available to vehicles under 3.5 tonnes GLW. Towed vehicles, like trailers must not exceed 3.5 tonnes GLW. *Weekly price includes GST and payments can be made monthly or annually. Additional call outs are $50 each.
