We’re changing to email

At AMI, we’re taking steps to care for the planet and reduce waste, so we’re changing to sending your documents by email instead of by post.

    Help us cut down on paper. Being paperless will cut back on waste and give Mother Nature a helping hand.

What if I don’t want to receive my documents by email?

Not a problem. If you’d like to continue receiving your documents by post, fill out the online form.

What if I like to have paper copies of my documents?

If you’d like a physical copy of your documents, you can choose to download and print the documents we send to you by email.

You can also return to getting your documents sent by post by changing your preferences in the AMI app or calling us on 0800 694 446.

Can I view my digital documents on my phone or tablet?

Yes, your digital documents are formatted so they’ll open on different devices, including smartphones and tablets.

Can I manage my digital documents in the AMI app?

Yes, you can do this easily in the app. You can access your digital documents from your phone or tablet. Learn more or download the AMI app.

How will I be sent updates if I change to email?

If you opt to receive your documents by email, you’ll also get email notifications.

What happens if I accidentally delete a digital document?

If you’re registered, you can access your digital documents through the AMI app or by going to our website and logging in to My AMI, your online account.

You can also ask to have your policy documents emailed to you again, by calling us on 0800 694 446.

How do I know this isn’t a scam? The 0800 number on your email is not the normal AMI number.

We understand why you’d be cautious. The 0800 number in the email is a dedicated line just for this communication. It’s verified and secure. If you’re ever unsure, you can always give our main customer service number a call to confirm.

Will all AMI communications be by email?

Yes, we are transitioning to digital for our policy documents to make things quicker and easier for you. This change will help us provide more efficient service and reduce our environmental impact. All other communications will remain the same.

How do I make sure I receive my documents?

It’s easy to make sure emails don’t go into your spam or junk folder by adding digital2@iag.co.nz to your safe sender list or adjusting your filters.
