If you hold a New Zealand Day Skippers certificate, a Boatmasters certificate or an equivalent qualification, we’ll offer you a 5% discount off your Boat insurance premium.
We want to be sure that you’re 100% happy with your insurance cover. We’ll cheerfully refund your premium paid in full if you are not completely satisfied within 15 days of taking out your AMI policy (as long as you haven’t made a claim).
We have an AA strength rating. This means we have a ‘Very Strong' claims paying ability.
*Discounts apply to the company premium before optional extensions, levies and GST are factored in. They may reduce or not apply if your premium is below our minimum policy price. We apply our discounts one after another. This means that the second (and successive) discount is calculated from the balance left after the first discount is applied.
What is covered:
Theft of outboard motors, loose gear and equipment is only covered if they were securely locked to or in your boat (or if they were stolen with your boat)
Sails or protective covers damaged as a result of contact with water, split by wind, or blown away at sea are not covered.
